“You will never find time for anything. If you want time you must make it.” ~Charles Buxton
I so fervently believe in this. I am sometimes the worst transgressor of not making time, but I am acutely aware of it, and have been taking steps to eradicate it from my vocabulary. Have I found a secret stash of “time” somewhere? Have I hit upon a formula for stretching out the hours in the day, somehow? No, absolutely not. There will never be more than 24 hours in a day, 7 days in a week, 52 weeks in a year…you get the picture. What has to happen is that a person has to take back their lives from the clock – cut out the chaff, and fill the void with their joy.
Turn off the television and pick up that book. The book probably says it better than the show.
Put down the mop one weekend, and go for a walk instead. The floor will be there later.
Turn down that invitation to the party you don’t want to go to, but feel some sort of obligation to attend, and instead go see that play.
Take back life.
